ARENA RULES FOR THE SWISS LIFE ARENA

1. General

The Swiss Life Arena is owned by ZSC Lions Arena Immobilien Ltd (“Arena Owner”) and is operated by ZSC Lions Ltd. (“Arena Operator”).

The responsible organiser of an event is the organiser (“Organiser”), as indicated on tickets, posters, advertisements, etc.

The Arena Operator shall provide the Organiser with rooms and areas including infrastructure (“Infrastructure”) for staging the event.

2. Scope / addressees

These Arena Rules apply to all visitors to the Swiss Life Arena, including all employees of the Arena Owner or of the Arena Operator, all Organisers and all service providers that use the infrastructure of the Swiss Life Arena in order to provide their services.

3. Order and security

Access authorisations may only be issued up to the maximum number of persons permitted for an event under fire safety regulations, and also as restricted according to the requirements set out in the hall plan. If there is a risk of overcrowding, the Arena Operator has the right to restrict or block access for additional visitors.

All emergency exits and escape routes provided in accordance with the hall plan must be freely accessible at all times (including before, during and after events) and must not be obstructed.

Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout all parts of the Swiss Life Arena, except in the designated smoking rooms. Smoking is permitted in the open air.

Visitors must comply at all times with any instructions issued by the organising staff and Arena Operator employees.

The burning of fireworks of any type is strictly prohibited at the Swiss Life Arena.

The display of any slogans or beliefs that glorify violence, that are racist or xenophobic or that advocate discrimination against specific groups is prohibited.

Face coverings are prohibited at the Swiss Life Arena.

The personal details of any visitors who fail to comply with the Arena Rules or who ignore the instructions of security staff may be recorded by security staff. Organising staff are authorised to stop people for the purpose of taking their personal details or to hold them until the police arrive.

The Organiser and Arena Operator are authorised to retain tickets, season tickets and passes in the event of major breaches and to remove from the Arena any visitors who violate these Rules.

The Arena Operator reserves the right to take court action to enforce any violations of the Arena Rules, to impose stadium bans and to hold those responsible liable for any damage caused.

4. Video surveillance

In order to ensure visitor safety, the Swiss Life Arena and outdoor areas are monitored by video. If required, footage may be made available to third parties, including in particular law enforcement authorities.

5. Checks upon entry

In order to ensure visitor safety, effective checks shall be carried out upon entry where required, and the Organiser shall be entitled to subject visitors to body searches.

6. Prohibited items

The following items are prohibited at the Swiss Life Arena:

  • Any drinks contained in glass bottles, cans, PET and TetraPak containers
  • Gas spray cans, dyeing, corrosive or otherwise substances harmful to health
  • Drugs
  • Liquids stored in glass bottles or jars, cans or other receptacles
  • Professional photography cameras, video cameras and recording devices, selfie sticks, laptops or tablets
  • Weapons of all types, objects that can be used as weapons or projectile launchers, laser pointers
  • Large sports bags, bags or large backpacks (>DIN A4)
  • Sports equipment such as skateboards, skates or kickboards
  • Transparent signs larger than A2 as well as flags with a pole length in excess of 1 metre
  • Fireworks, sparklers, smoke flares as well as other pyrotechnical devices and Bengal torches including launching systems
  • Animals
  • Objects, items of clothing and/or media displaying any message or content that is racist, xenophobic or discriminatory and/or that glorifies violence

This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented by the Arena Operator or the respective Organiser and displayed at entrances. The currently valid list can be consulted on the Arena Operator's website at any time.

Prohibited items may be deposited for a fee at the external counters and collected upon departure. No liability is accepted in respect of any valuables deposited.

7. Lost property office

The Arena Operator shall manage an internal lost property office, to which lost property and notices concerning lost items may be submitted. If the owner of any item cannot be immediately identified, ID cards, keys, wallets and valuables shall be transferred to the City Lost Property Office, and clothes, umbrellas etc. shall be disposed of after one month.

8. Admission

Admission to the Swiss Life Arena at all events is only permitted with a valid admission document (ticket, season ticket or pass).

Tickets and passes must be kept until the end of the event and must be presented to organising staff on request.

Once validated, tickets only establish entitlement to re-entry if they have been counter-stamped upon exit.

9. Additional rules of the Organiser

The Organiser may adopt additional rules.

Visitors to sporting events are also subject to the regulations of the respective sporting associations concerning good order and safety in stadiums.

These regulations may be consulted with or obtained from the respective Organiser or sporting association.

10. Commercial activities

Commercial activities such as the distribution or sale of printed matter or advertising objects, the conduct of promotional campaigns, the affixing /installation of flyers, posters or banners, the promotion of petitions or demonstrations are only permitted on the premises of the Swiss Life Arena with the express, prior, written approval of the Arena Operator.

11. Medical and physician services

The first aid rooms are located in the gallery on level 0 and in the gallery on level 3.

Nearby hospitals include the Stadtspital Waid (Tièchestrasse 99, 8037 Zurich, 044 417 11 11), the Spital Limmattal (Urdorferstrasse 100, 8952 Schlieren, 044 733 11 11) and the Stadtspital Triemli (Birmensdorferstrasse 497, 8063 Zurich, 044 416 11 11).

12. Audio-visual recordings

All persons entering the Swiss Life Arena premises during an event acknowledge that they are participating in a public event and agree that audio and visual footage featuring them may be created in relation to the event without consideration by the Arena Operator, the Organiser or their appointees and that this footage may be used without consideration by the Arena Operator, the Organiser or any third party for the purpose of live transmission, broadcast, publication and/or recording on all current and future media.

Audio-visual footage may only be created by visitors in connection with events for private purposes and exclusively using devices that, taking account of their specification and size, are obviously intended for private use only. Any other use of these images or any transfer of such footage other than for private purposes to third parties or for publication in the media shall require the express, prior approval of the Arena Operator. The Organiser is entitled to adopt additional regulations concerning audio-visual footage.

13. Entry into force

These Arena Rules shall enter into force on 31 March 2021 and shall replace all previous versions. They may be amended at any time by the Arena Operator.
